One person has died and seven have been left injured after a shooting at a Florida strip club.
One person who was shot during the incident was confirmed dead at the scene.
Lt. Ruth Cate said that in addition to the six injured police initially were aware about, one other person drove to a local hospital for treatment.
Police received a 911 call regarding gunshots at around 2.a.m., police confirmed.
Lt. Cate also confirmed that detectives on scene were investigating what caused the gunfire.
Officials said that all of the victims suffered gunshot wounds, the severity of their injuries were not made immediately available.
The club has now been closed and it is not know when the club will reopen again.
Police are still on scene and actively investigating the incident.
