Massachusetts State Police, US Marshals, members of the US Secret Service, and West Springfield Police last night captured New Britain, Ct., man who had fled to Massachusetts after allegedly killing his wife.

Members of the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS) and New Britain Police developed information that Patrick Spencer Miles, 36, may have been hiding at an apartment complex at 1450 Memorial Drive in West Springfield.

On April 7, Miles had allegedly fatally shot his wife in New Britain and then took their child and fled to New York. An AMBER Alert was issued and Miles eventually dropped the child off with relatives in New York and continued to flee.

Miles was held overnight at the West Springfield Police Station and was to be arraigned as a fugitive from justice today in the Springfield District Court.
