Niagara Falls, ONTARIO — The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers in the Southern Ontario Region were busy over the month of July with several seizures of undeclared items.

At the Peace Bridge on July 3, an undeclared disposable rocket launcher tube and two undeclared grenades were discovered in the vehicle of two Louisiana residents.

The men did not have any documentation stating that the launcher was deactivated and the grenades appeared to be inert. The Niagara Regional Police Service Emergency Task Unit attended and the Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit was consulted.

The devices were deemed to be safe and it was determined they were unusable. The launcher and grenades were seized with no terms of release. After paying the $1,500 vehicle terms of release, the men were allowed to proceed into Canada.
