NEW YORK CITY — Officers from the 46 Precinct in the Bronx arrested a man an recovered a large amount of marijuana in the afternoon of October 3.
Sergeant Barbato and Police Officers Chalen and Valdrin observed a man on a motorized scooter weaving in and out of traffic at Walton Avenue and East 184 Street.
As the officers attempted to stop the suspect, he fled on foot into a residential building located on Walton Avenue.
The 55-year-old man was subsequently apprehended and was found to be in possession of several small bags of marijuana.
Further investigation and a search of the suspect’s scooter revealed a large plastic bag attached to the handlebars containing numerous large zip lock bags of marijuana.
The suspect was booked and charged.
