A Fox News reporter’s liveshot at the White House was cut short when secret service agents ran by and started clearing tourists from the sidewalk on Tuesday.

The White House was placed on lockdown for around thirty minutes as the North Lawn and surrounding areas were being cleared.

Fox reporter Chad Pegram tweeted, a fence jumper at the Eisenhower Office Building, next to the White House, caused the scare.

According to NBC News, ‘A man jumped a fence outside the Old Executive Office Building at 17th and G Streets and cut his hand. EMTs responded to treat the man, and he was in the custody of the Secret Service.’

The lockdown was lifted around 4:30 p.m.

It was unclear what prompted the man to jump the barrier.
