Seven Injured On American Airlines Flight From Miami After Severe Turbulence

An American airlines flight has experienced severe turbulence, resulting in seven people rushed to the hospital.

The flight made an emergency landing in Newfoundland, Canada.

Three flight attendants and four passengers were rushed to a local hospital for evaluation.

Witnesses described how one flight attendant was bleeding.

The plane was carry 192 passengers and 11 crew members.

The seat belt light was on on the Boeing 767 when the flight encountered turbulence.

Airport officials confirmed that four ambulances and a fire truck were send to meet the plane on the tarmac.

An hour after the plane landed, one ambulance remained.

 

An American Airlines spokesperson said: ‘We are taking care of our passengers and crew, and we are working on next steps to get them safely to their destination,’ American Airlines said in a statement,’ American Airlines said in a statement.

Sara Norris, a spokeswoman for St. John’s airport, said the plane will stay in St. John’s overnight.
