Columbia, South Carolina — (News Release / RCSO) — Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announced the arrest of Brandon Robins (DOB: 02/20/1971) charged with unlawful conduct towards a child.
Sheriff Leon Lott stated that on Friday, August 26, 2016 Robins turned himself in to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department; the Sheriff added that Robins is a Richland County Sheriff’s Deputy, and has been placed on suspension without pay pending an internal review.
The Sheriff stated that just before 5:00 PM on Monday, August 22, 2016 Lexington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the medical center located on Sunset Boulevard in response to a doctors concern. The Sheriff stated that the eight year old male victim (step-son to Robins) had an appointment with his doctor; the doctor observed bruises on lower body of the child and alerted law enforcement.
Sheriff Jay Koon stated that Robins has been transported to the Lexington County Jail.
