NEW YORK — A man is dead and another barely escaped with his life after a cesspool collapsed in Huntington, Long Island Wednesday.
The horrific incident happened on Beech Place around 1 p.m. local time.
Video shows the victim plunge into the hole while the second worker grabs the bucket at the last second.
Officials later recovered the victim’s body—they say the area is still unsafe. A cesspool was being installed when the suspected sinkhole opened.
