DENVER — Authorities in Thornton, Colorado were on the scene of a triple-shooting at a Walmart Wednesday night—the scene is at 9900 Grant Street.
In an initial alert, police said “multiple parties” were down. The department later confirmed two males and a female were killed.
It was unclear what led up to the gunfire. The store was evacuated and police urged residents to avoid the area as a search was underway for the suspect.
47-year-old Scott Ostrem was later taken into custody without incident after ‘a brief chase that started near an apartment about 5 miles from the Walmart store,’ Fox News reported.
A motive for the crime remains unknown.
