Shippensburg University students were on alert Monday night after an armed robbery happened at 348 1/2 East Fort Street.
“I heard some screaming and the dogs were going wild, and then I saw people on the ground fighting with each other,” said Kelsey Breslin, a senior at Shippensburg who lives next door. “So I drove off a little bit and then I heard the gunshot.”
According to police, two men entered the house while one woman stayed outside. One of the men had a weapon described as looking like a bat. Some items were taken from the house, and as the two men were leaving, a fight broke out with two male victims.
