NEW JERSEY — Residents in Lavallette, New Jersey reported small tremors or ground-shaking events on Monday. The unexplained shaking comes after last week’s ‘sonic boom’ in Jersey.
There have been no reports of damage or injuries. Officials didn’t immediately comment on the nature of this incident. “We have comments from military personnel, but there’s nothing definitive yet,” Jersey Shore Hurricane News said on Twitter.
From NewsWorks: In South Seaside Park, Tara DeLorme wrote that it felt stronger than the rumbles caused by sonic booms last week. “Heard a rumble, then a shaking beneath my feet. Traveled up and shook the whole house.”
JSHN contributors say they felt the the ground shake in Beach Haven, Brick, Manahawkin, Point Peasant, and Toms River, where Trish Brophy said as soon as her house shook, “my dog went to hide.”
