A teenager who worshiped the devil has admitted to murdering one of his closest friends.
Edward O’Neal Jr, aged 18, stands accused of killing Ryan Joseph Robert, aged 16, who was reported missing on January 15th.
His was body was later discovered in the woods by near his home a few days later with multiple stab wounds.
Prosecutors said that O’Neal confessed three time to the gruesome killing and attempted to commit suicide two days after Robert’s body was discovered.
Christine Roberts shared that O’Neal and her son were very close, commenting that O’Neal lived in the home for a couple of months.
She reported to KHOU: ‘I just want justice for my son.I’m beyond frustrated. I’m angry,’
‘Oh I know that he’s worshiping the devil and stuff,’ the father told KHOU. ‘He didn’t tell me nothing. He didn’t say nothing about doing nothing.’
The suspect’s mother said: ‘He doesn’t believe in God, he believes in the devil. He did the crime he needs to do the time,’
‘I didn’t raise him like that, as a child he was born and raised in the church home.’
O’Neal is currently in the Harris County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
