CHICAGO — Rapper Travis Scott was arrested Sunday at the Lollapalooza Music Festival.
Police allege the rapper urged fans to rush the stage.
From NBC News: Scott, whose real name is Jacques Webster, had performed just one song when fans began to jump the barricades into the security pit. The rapper then fled the scene, but Chicago Police caught up with him soon after and arrested him, according to a statement from the city’s Office of Emergency Management and Communications.
Scott was arrested and charged with reckless conduct, according to Chicago Police. A fan was also arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, according to OEMC.
No one was injured.
On Friday, the first day of the music festival that takes over Grant Park, seven people were arrested, 43 were cited and 85 required emergency medical transport, Stratton said. She could not say what the arrests, citations and transports were for.
