BALTIMORE — Two K-9 Officers with DPSCS died from heat exhaustion after being left in a car last week.
Officials say the tragic event happened due to the air conditioner malfunctioning.
From WBAL: “The dogs, a bloodhound, Kojack, and Dingo, a Dutch shepherd, were in a DPSCS vehicle Tuesday at the Baltimore City Detention Center, taking part in the transfer of prisoners from the facility closed by the governor.
Shields said one of the dogs died Tuesday, while the other died Wednesday. It was not known how long the dogs had been inside the vehicle.”
