Several children have reportedly been found dead in a house in Cairns, in Queensland’s Far North.
A woman is believed to have been taken to hospital with stab wounds.
Murray St has been blocked as officers swarm the area.
Police have cordoned off a house and detectives are searching through the yard of the property.
