The museum released the following statement; On police advice, FACT and LaBeouf, Rönkkö & Turner have removed the installation HEWILLNOTDIVIDE.US due to dangerous, illegal trespassing.
A masked man was spotted on the roof where the flag was located.
Actor Shia LaBeouf has taken his anti-Trump protest to Liverpool, England, after partnering up with executives at an art center.
The exhibit was originally installed at the Museum of Moving Image in New York on the day of Donald Trump’s inauguration.
Visitors were encouraged to say: “He Will Not Divide Us” into a streaming camera, mounted outside the museum.
“Starting from 22 March 2017, the durational art project HEWILLNOTDIVIDE.US by LaBeouf, Ronkko & Turner will be adopted by FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) in Liverpool, UK,” a post on the project’s website reads.
