Amber Alert Activated For Kidnapped Teen Who May Have Been Shot

FAIRFIELD, CALIFORNIA — (Amber alert/News release) — At 7:00am this morning, the Solano County Sheriff’s Office received several calls of shots fired in the area of the I-780 pedestrian over-crossing that leads from Home Acres to Taylor Ave, Vallejo. A witness reported seeing a white female being pulled by a Hispanic male on the over-crossing. The females face was bleeding and she was yelling for someone to help. The Hispanic male had a firearm in his hand. As the witness ran for help, a shot was heard.

Upon arrival, Deputies found what appeared to be blood on the ground; however, no one was located in the area.

Investigators responded and with the help of family members and witnesses have identified the female as 15 year-old Pearl Pinson. Pearl was last seen wearing a grey sweater, black leggings, with a black and turquoise backpack. She currently has green hair. Pearl has not been seen or heard from and never arrived at school.

The Hispanic male has been identified as 19 year-old Fernando Castro of Vallejo. Castro was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, possibly wearing reading-type glasses.

At this time we are not able to confirm if Pearl was shot or the extent of her injuries. It is unknown if the two left the area together. There are currently no associated vehicles.
