Magnitude 6.2 Quake Rattles Rome, Central Italy

A 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck southeast of Norcia, Italy on Tuesday–tremors were reportedly felt as far as Rome.

The town of Amatrice in Italy was devastated.

The mayor of Amatrice said residents are buried under debris and that the town “isn’t here anymore,” the Associated Press reported.
