Gulf Shores, Alabama — A vehicle struck several people that were taking part in the Gulf Shores Mardi Gras parade Tuesday.

Multiple people were treated by emergency services on the street.

Twelve members of the Gulf Shores High School Marching Band were transported to local hospitals–four critical.

“Please be patient when leaving due to Emergency traffic needing access to the area,” the Gulf Shores police department posted on Facebook.
