MORRO BAY, Calif. — SCROLL DOWN FOR VIDEO — (SLO Tribune) — A surfer from Los Osos was uninjured Saturday morning after she was attacked by a great white shark. ‘

Elinor Dempsey, 54, of Los Osos, was surfing at Morro Strand Park in Morro Bay around 10:15 a.m. when the shark bit her board, leaving a 14-inch wide bite mark. One renowned shark expert said the shark could have been as big as 13 to 15 feet, though he still needs to examine the board for a conclusive measurement. (Video by Pat Pemberton)
