(Scroll Down For Video) — There was a crazy wreck at the very end of the Nascar Coke Zero 400 race in Daytona Beach, Florida. Dale Earnhardt, Jr. won the race, but the car that went flying into the retaining fence was the moment everyone would remember.

Austin Dillon’s car airborne and tore down part of the catch fence, injuring several fans, one of whom was briefly hospitalized.

Dillon’s No. 3 Chevrolet car was destroyed, with the front and rear ends missing after it came to a stop on its roof at the end of the pits (and after another jarring collision with Brad Keselowski‘s No. 2 Ford). The impact threw Dillon’s engine into the grass, several feet behind the car.

After safety workers and crew members from other teams scrambled to Dillion’s car, the Richard Childress Racing driver was extricated from the wreckage.

Dillon gave a few waves to the crowd, removed his helmet and HANS device and walked to a waiting ambulance. He was treated and released from the infield care center with a bruised forearm and tailbone.
