WATCH: NY Sanitation Worker Stops Robbery In Progress

NEW YORK – (Scroll Down For Video) — Police Commissioner Bratton met with hero New York City sanitation worker Curtis Jackson today to thank him for stopping a robbery in a Gramercy Park 7-11 store. Police Commissioner Bratton and Sanitation Commissioner Garcia both celebrated Curtis’ heroism at his sanitation garage in Lower Manhattan.

Curtis Jackson stopped the robbery in progress by tackling the suspect to the ground after he observed the man point what looked like a gun at the 7-11 cashier. It was later found out that the gun was actually a marker, but he didn’t think twice about stepping in to help when he saw the clerk’s hands up.
