TMZ Sports has obtained video of NFL superstar Michael Bennett being handcuffed by police while lying face down on the concrete in Las Vegas … and you can hear him screaming that he’s innocent. The Las Vegas police department has not issued a statement.

Undersheriff Kevin McMahill Briefs the Media on Incident Involving Michael Bennett:

On September 6, 2017 the LVMPD was made aware of a statement put on social media that contained allegations of police misconduct towards NFL player Michael Bennett, who was in Las Vegas over the weekend of August 26, 2017. With the MayweatherMcGregor fight taking place that weekend, and approximately 200,000 visitors in town, the LVMPD had every available resource committed to ensuring the safety of everyone in the Las Vegas valley. This incident originated at approximately 1:30 a.m. on August 27, 2017 when the LVMPD received calls of a possible active shooter at Drai’s Nightclub located inside of the Cromwell.

The event resulted in Mr. Bennett being detained for approximately 10 minutes during the investigation. He was later released and the active shooter information was later determined to be unfounded.
