This is the incredible moment a 17-year-old girl threw herself out of a moving car in an attempt to escape her abductor.
The unnamed teen was kidnapped by a woman believed to be in her 40s in Bridgeport, Connecticut as she travelled to school on Monday.
Now, police have recovered the charcoal gray Toyota Yaris that the woman was driving, and claimed that her arrest was imminent.
‘I’m pleased to announce that through the work of an incredible amount of information and tips from the community that was given to the Bridgeport Police Department… we have the car in that video in custody’, Assistant Police Chief James Nardozzi said.
‘We have identified the woman who we believe is responsible for this attack and we are very hopeful that an arrest is imminent in this matter.’
Nardozzi added that the girl was lured after the driver asked ‘It’s cold outside, can I give you a ride to school.’
He described the incident as being ‘an extreme rarity in Bridgeport.’
