This is the heart-warming moment a baby elephant walked away from a well after being trapped inside for more than an hour.
The six-year-old mammal had fallen down the disused water well and became very distressed when it was unable to climb out.
An excavator was used to dig away at the side of the well and a makeshift path was created to enable the mammal to climb free.
Footage of the incident shows the mammal part-submerged in muddy water while trapped at the bottom of the narrow pit.
A crowd of villagers stand around to watch it escape and cheer when the mammal finally manages to pull itself free.
According to reports the elephant only suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident.
