SOUTH AFRICA — After the death of a 12-foot-long African Rock Python, park rangers opened its stomach. Inside they found a 30-pound porcupine.
Its needle-sharp quills seem to have punctured the snake’s digestive tract and may have contributed to its death.
The Lake Eland Game Reserve wrote on their Facebook page: “Sadly , the African Rock Python that became an overnight sensation has been found dead. The 3.9m long Python was found to have ingested a 13.8kg Porcupine. Autopsy showed Porcupine quills lodged in the snakes digestive tract”
