NOVATO, California — On Monday August 3, 2015 at approximately 5:58 am, NPD received a call for a welfare check at a residence in the 300 block of Silvio Ln., Novato. Officers arrived shortly after the phone call and discovered a female inside the residence with significant injuries. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
The deceased appears to be a victim of a homicide. Further investigation indicated a family member may be responsible for the death.
The family member was discovered in San Francisco later this morning with an apparent self-inflicted wound. The person was transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased.
The investigation is ongoing and no names will be released until the next of kin have been notified.
