15-Year-Old Stabbed Man In Neck During McDonald’s Drive-Thru Brawl: Police

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — On October 3, 2020, a juvenile male was arrested and charged with attempted murder after stabbing a man in the neck.

At 3:38 am, patrol officers responded to McDonald’s located at 31 North Arkansas Avenue in reference to a report of a fight. Officers arrived to find two men who had been involved in the fight with one man, 24, suffering from a stab wound to his neck. The victim was bleeding heavily and Officer Ivaylo Ivanov rendered medical aid. The victim was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, with a serious injury. The victim is expected to survive.

Officers obtained a description of four males that were the aggressors involved in the fight that fled in a vehicle. Officers Sean McGettigan and Shawn Dansby located the vehicle and conducted a motor vehicle stop at Indiana and Marmora Avenue. The four males in the car were detained during the initial investigation.

During the investigation it was learned that the suspects attempted to pull their vehicle into the drive-thru lane by cutting off others already in line. The aggressors attempted to cut off the victim and his friend. Several males exited the vehicle and began to damage the victim’s car. The victims confronted the males and a fight began. As the fight broke up, the victim got back in his vehicle and one male approached the window with a knife in his hand. The male swung the knife striking the victim and then dropped the knife in the victim’s car.

The suspect, 15, was identified and arrested. The other males were released pending further investigation.
