NASHVILLE, TN. — Madison Precinct detectives are continuing to investigate what prompted a 17-year-old to shoot his mother in the head Tuesday night at their 3535 Chesapeake Drive residence and then commit suicide.
Madison Precinct officers responded to the home at 8:25 p.m. after another family member telephoned 911 to report that Tiffany Redmon, 37, had been shot by her son, Jshaun Redmon, and that he had fled the residence. First arriving officers saw that Tiffany Redmon had suffered a gunshot wound to her head. She was rushed to a local hospital. She is not expected to survive.
Officers found Jshaun Redmon deceased in the yard across the street from his residence. He had suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Detectives will be conducting additional interviews today as they work to determine the motivation for the gunfire.
Tiffany Redmon would have turned 38 today.
