An 18-year-old Nashville man who pointed a gun at another motorist on Broadway at 14th Avenue Wednesday is now jailed after Midtown Hills Precinct undercover officers quickly spotted his maroon Mustang traveling on I-65 at I-440 and pulled him over.

Christopher A. Works, III, 18, of Tanglewood Court, is charged with felony aggravated assault and having two loaded pistols, one of which was stolen from a vehicle in August 2018 on South Hampton Boulevard in Hermitage.

The 54-year-old victim in today’s case reported that the Mustang pulled up beside him as the driver, subsequently identified by the victim during a show-up as Works, pointed a pistol at him and motioned for him to pull over. Instead, the victim called police and provided the Mustang’s description and license plate number. Works refused to be interviewed by police.

Works is also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor for having a 17-year-old with him in the car. The 17-year-old is charged with unlawful gun possession.
