2 dead in stabbing in Hampton, Virginia

HAMPTON, Va. – Police in Hampton are investigating a stabbing that left two people dead late Sunday afternoon.

“At approximately 4:51 p.m., Hampton Police Communications received a call in reference to a stabbing that just occurred in the 1300 block of Shell road,” Hampton police said in a statement. “Upon arrival, officers located two male victims that were suffering from stab wounds. A 19-year-old male victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, and a 66-year-old male victim was pronounced deceased on the scene. The 19-year-old male victim later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.”

“The preliminary investigation revealed that an altercation took place between the two parties which resulted in both of the individuals receiving stab wounds. All involved parties have been identified and investigators are not looking for any suspects at this time. The motive and circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation and there is no further information to disseminate at this time.”
