WALDORF, Md. — Two police officers were shot Monday afternoon in Waldorf, according to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.
The scene, located in the 6300 block of Josephine Road, remains active and the “situation is ongoing,” deputies said.
Officials say a man wanted on a warrant and suffering from a “mental health episode” shot the officers.

The wounded officers’ injures are believed to be non-life-threatening.
The suspect remained barricaded inside the home.

Josephine Rd, Pinewood Dr and Hickory Valley Dr are closed.
