2-Year-Old Dies After He Was Found Following Amber Alert

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. – A toddler at the center of an Amber Alert who was found alive but seriously injured has died, deputies say.

On Saturday, March 17, 2018, at 5:41 PM, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing 2-year-old named Nain Dominguez. Nain was last seen near the Stratmoor Hill Trailhead Park, located at 1215 Forest Road with an older sibling. El Paso County Deputies along with numerous other resources responded to the location to conduct search operations.

On Sunday, March 18, 2018, at 7:18 am, Nain Dominguez was located and transported to a local hospital in life threatening condition. He was later pronounced dead despite medical intervention.

Details about where the child was found, or how he sustained the injuries, were not immediately provided by investigators.

The investigation is ongoing.
