Live Stream: Up To The Minute Details On The Winter Storm Impacting The East Coast

The East Coast is now battling through life threatening blizzard conditions today as one of the most powerful storms continues across states from Georgia to New Jersey.

Ten states have now declared a state of emergency, coastal flooding is now a common sight across New Jersey, over 8,000 flights have been cancelled across country and motorists in Kentucky were stranded overnight for over 12 hours.

Seventeen people have died as a result of the winter storm across the country, with the latest death coming from Maryland after a man was shoveling snow suffered a heart attack.

New York has now announced a total travel ban which is currently in effect. All roads and elevated subways have been closed to civilians.

Update 1:

Weather Underground reports “The maximum amount of snowfall we’ve seen so far is 12″ at Fairview, NC.”  The Weather Channel reports “Winter Storm #Jonas has brought 16″ of #snow to Kentucky and shows no sign of stopping. Get the latest forecast.”  Local media is also reporting the death of a 4 year old child after a car accident on I77.

Update 2:

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has now announced a travel ban in New York City, this comes into effect at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. All roads will close to civilian traffic and elevated subways. There have been 3 snow-shoveling related deaths in New York City, 312 vehicle accidents and 343 vehicles towed.

Update 3: 

Mayor Rawlings-Blake has implemented a travel ban on Baltimore with exception of emergency vehicles beginning at 6:30 ET.

Update 4:

VA State Police say there have been 989 crashes  and 793 disabled vehicles.
