An abandoned puppy was left in such a horrific condition that veterinarians were unable to tell what breed she was.
The owner of the dog, Michelle Brown, aged 28, abandoned the puppy in a playground in Hampshire, England.
Seven-month-old Narla was discovered in a black bin liner inside a cardboard box and struggling to breathe.
The puppy, currently thought to be a “staffie-Cross”, was so malnourished that she had started to eat the cardboard box.
Unfortunately, because of the condition of the puppy, vets were forced to put Narla down.
Authorities were able to track down the location of the dog’s owner through the dog’s microchip.
The mum-of-three told the court she is a full time carer for her partner who has cerebral palsy and battles severe depression, which contributed to her serious neglect of the new pet.
She has now been banned from keeping animals indefinitely, was handed a 12 week suspended sentence and ordered to pay £630.
