Dallas Firefighter Shot, Officers ‘Pinned Down’ By Gunfire

TEXAS — Police were responding to an active shooter in East Dallas Monday afternoon.

The scene was unfolding in the 3200 block of Reynolds Avenue.

According to the Dallas Police Association, a firefighter was shot and police officers were ‘pinned down by gunfire.’

Local media reports the fire company was responding to a call of a gunshot wound when they were ambushed upon arrival.

The suspect was later found dead in his home, police said.

The wounded firefighter was in surgery—condition unknown.
