MOBILE, AL. — On Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 10:50 a.m. officers responded to the area of Cuba Street and Congress Street in reference to two victims struck by a motor vehicle. The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Chastity Cox, had a verbal altercation with the victims. Cox then drove her white SUV into both victims knocking them into a grassy area.
The victims were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Cox fled the scene, but she later contacted police and arrived at police headquarters. After being questioned, Cox was arrested. She was transported to Metro Jail with an assault second degree charge.
