COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Detectives identified and arrested a man in connection with a homicide that occurred in College Park on Sunday. The suspect is 26-year-old Tyree Stewart of the 9000 block of Edmonston Road in Greenbelt. The victim is 26-year-old Tyesha Henry of Greenbelt.
On July 5th, around 11:30 am, patrol officers responded to a hotel located in the 9100 block of Baltimore Avenue for the report of an unresponsive female. When they arrived, they found Henry suffering from an apparent gunshot wound inside a hotel room. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police say this is a domestic related homicide. Detectives are still working to establish a motive that led up to the shooting. Stewart is charged with first and second degree murder and related charges. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
