19-Year-Old Arrested After Deadly Mass Shooting At Bay St. Louis, Mississippi House Party

BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. – Police say 19-year-old Cameron Everest Brand was taken into custody and charged with homicide after a shooting in Mississippi left at least two people dead and four injured.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning at a home on Old Blue Meadow Road in Bay St. Louis. When officers arrived on the scene, they found six victims, all between the ages of 15 and 18. Four of the victims were transported to trauma centers in Louisiana, while two of them, aged 16 and 18, died after receiving medical treatment at University Medical Center in New Orleans.

Three of the remaining victims are in critical condition, while the other three are in stable but serious condition.

Brand was identified as the sole shooter and was located at his home in Pass Christian.

Initially, he was charged with six counts of aggravated assault, which were later updated to homicide after the two deaths.

As of now, no motive has been identified for the incident. Brand is being held without bond.
