ALASKA — Shots have been fired by a suspect in an ongoing standoff on Ginami Street in Anchorage.
The SWAT standoff began Wednesday morning after the suspect opened fire on tree trimmers, KTUU reported.
Two officers were injured in the gunfire today.
One officer was transported to a local hospital for treatment where he is expected to survive.
The officer’s family has been notified.
The other officer’s injuries were treated at the scene.
The standoff is ongoing and the suspect is still not in custody.
