MIDDLETOWN, New York – Multiple people were arrested in Tuesday morning raids for their alleged roles in a drug ring that was run out of a Middletown firehouse.
In total, DEA, FBI, and the New York State Police executed 15 search warrants.
According to the Times Herald-Record, the ringleader or the reported drug ring is Middletown fire lieutenant Paul G. Smith — at least 20 people were taken into custody and more arrests are expected.
Law enforcement officials will hold a press conference later today to announce the charges.
