CALIFORNIA — A new case of the deadly Coronavirus with unknown origins was confirmed in Northern California, the CDC says.

The infected person has not recently traveled to a foreign country, nor has the patient had known contact with a person who already had the virus.

“At this time, the patient’s exposure is unknown,” the CDC said. “It’s possible this could be an instance of community spread of COVID-19, which would be the first time this has happened in the United States.”

The Washington Post broke the news.

The total number if cases in the U.S. is not at 15.
