TEXAS — A manhunt was underway in Northwest Houston Thursday after a deadly armored truck heist.
Police say an armored car security guard was shot at point-blank range in the face at a Popeye’s fast food restaurant — located at 5003 Antoine Drive near Pinemont Drive. The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver of the armored truck was not harmed and remained at the scene.
According to KHOU, an ‘abandoned vehicle was found near the intersection of Bolivia Boulevard and Viking Drive, a short distance from the scene of the ambush.’
There’s a gun on the ground that *looks* like a revolver? But I can’t get close enough to tell. Likely used in this incident, but waiting to confirm. There is a driver in the Loomis truck. Unclear if he’s the one involved in the incident. @KHOU #khou11 pic.twitter.com/I62pSSEtmu

Cops were reviewing surveillance footage in the area and believe there are three black male suspects. It was unclear how much cash was stolen.
