JACKSON, Wyo. — A dead body was found Sunday in Wyoming during the frantic search for Gabby Petito. The FBI says the victim matches the description of Petito but confirmation will come from the medical examiner.
An exact cause of death also remains unknown.
The remains were found near the Spread Creek Dispersed Camping Area, in the Bridger-Teton National Forest.

The discovery comes after the person of interest in the case, Brian Laundrie, Gabby’s fiancé, also went missing.
