TEXAS — The US Coast Guard is searching for a missing cruise ship crew member in the Gulf of Mexico.
An HC-144 Ocean Sentry airplane crew from Coast Guard Air Station Air Station Corpus Christi and the crew of Coast Guard Cutter Manowar, an 87-foot patrol boat from Galveston, Texas, are searching for the 39-year-old Filipino crewmember who is missing from the Royal Caribbean cruise ship ‘Liberty of the Seas.’
The search area is 170 miles southeast of Galveston.
