Riverside County, California — A F-16 fighter jet crashed near March Air Reserve Base Thursday, officials say.
The pilot is believed to have ejected before the crash and was being treated for injuries.
Several local news outlets report the jet crashed into a building on Opportunity Way — it was unclear if anyone in the building was injured.
Major Perry Covington, spokesperson for March Reserve AFB says the aircraft crashed at the end of a runway.

The plane was reportedly carrying live weapons at the time but there was no indication of an explosion or fire.
