Today, the United States Capitol Police arrested a man who allegedly posted private, identifying information (also known as ‘doxing’) about one or more United States Senators to the internet.
The doxing incidents occurred during the hearings of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and his accuser, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.
Jackson A. Cosko, ]27, of Washington, D.C., describes himself online as a “Democratic Political Professional.”
According to the U.S. Capitol Police, Cosko has been charged with Making Public Restricted Personal Information; Witness Tampering; Threats in Interstate Communications; Unauthorized Access of a Government Computer; Identity Theft; Second Degree Burglary and Unlawful Entry—more charges may be forthcoming.
The arrest comes after a person in U.S. House of Representatives was reported to leak Republican Senators’ addresses and telephone numbers online last week.
Public records show Cosko has worked for several Democrat Senators on Capitol Hill, including, U.S. Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-NH), Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA), and Sheila Jackson Lee (D -TX), Heavy reported.
