A verdict has been reached in the trial of Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd.
The jury of six white people and six people who are black or multiracial came to a conclusion less than 11 hours into deliberation. Chauvin was found guilty of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree unintentional murder and second-degree manslaughter.

President Joe Biden had said earlier in the day that he is “praying the verdict is the right verdict” and that he believed the evidence in the case is “overwhelming.”
Major cities across the country are bracing for potential unrest due to the fallout of the trial.
