As the accounts of survivors and witnesses begin to surface the horrific terrorist attack on French satirical publication Charlie Hebdo, the Daily Mail has learned that police initially arrived to the scene of the attack on bikes and unarmed.
Benoit Bringer, a journalist whose office is next door was able to evacuate via the roof of the building just next to the office. “Three policemen arrived by pushbike,” Bringer said, “but they left naturally as the attackers were armed.”
Two police officers not referenced by Bringer, however, were among the twelve victims killed in today’s attack.
