One of the guards at a Juarez prison that houses drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman was found murdered this past weekend.
The body of Jorge Mauricio Melendez Herrera, 20, was found near the Texas border tortured, a bag over his head, and deceased from multiple stab wounds and blunt force trauma.
According to SF Gate, ‘Herrera was killed from a blow to the back of his neck and was stabbed multiple times.’
Investigators suspect Guzman’s men carried out the crime.
No arrests have been made.
